Committee
consultations are currently taking across Ontario over the next
several weeks concerning several government bills. In addition to
the consultations that are taking place on bills, the Liberal government’s
pre-budget consultations are also taking place.
The
PC Party caucus is still trying to convince the government of the
importance of conducting more thorough pre-budget consultations.
So far, they have not agreed to extend the consultation period.
These consultations are currently underway, and I encourage you
to follow them closely, and to add your written comments.
Hearings
are taking place for the following bills:
Bill
135, Greenbelt Act, 2004
Bill 118, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2004
Bill 132, Public Safety Related to Dogs Statute Law Amendment Act,
2004
I
encourage everyone who is interested in providing input on these
matters to participate by making either an oral or a written presentation.
